Your session is a few weeks away, this page will help you remember what to expect and hopeful, help you get the most out of our time with your family.
What to expect
Pre-shoot: arrival and setup
Before we begin
We'll arrive 1-2 hours before your session to settle into your space and set up. If you're able to help us with parking nearby, that makes the day easier for everyone. Once we're set, we'll say hello, get comfortable, and ease into the session together, no rush, no pressure.
Session: we take care of you
Your portrait session
Sessions typically run around 90 minutes, unhurried, so nobody feels rushed. From posing to pacing, direction to timing, that's on us. Little ones are welcome to bring a favourite toy or teddy, it helps them feel like themselves. All you need to do is relax and be present, we'll take care of the rest.
Post-session: what happens next
What happens next
After your session, we'll be in touch once your portraits are ready, usually within a couple of weeks. A reveal session follows, where you'll see the selects and choose the portraits to be printed. From there, we'll guide you as you order your prints, canvases, or albums to grace your home.
What to wear
Coordinating outfits takes a little planning, so here are a few ideas to inspire your look. Soft, coordinating tones photograph beautifully, and matching isn’t essential. Bold colours or traditional African prints can look just as exquisite. Simply avoid thin line patterns, logos, branded clothing, or fluorescent colours.
